Little You is my debut poetry collection, published by Burning Eye Books in 2019.

Spanning five powerful chapters—Blackness, womanhood, identity, love, and mental health—this collection invites you into the spaces where language falters, and poetry steps in. With poignance, precision, and a fierce sense of humour, Little You explores the resilience of spirit and the tenderness of survival.

The first poem, How Much?, was written after I was harassed near my family home in London. Since then, poetry has become a sanctuary—where the unspeakable is made speakable. These poems weave lived experience with lyrical power, accompanied by intimate illustrations—some by me, others by people I love.

Both political and deeply personal, Little You speaks to Black, queer, trans, mad, disabled, femme, and survivor communities—while offering insight and connection to wider audiences ready to sit with complex, beautiful truths.
